Water Polo
Year Round Program
SOLO Water Polo training will consist of intense conditioning, fundamentals of water polo, rules, fun games, and competition with Head Coach Bega and assistants. Our water polo program is geared to competing against the top teams in the nation. We have helped develop water polo skills and fundamentals in the local Bay Area region. Our Youth Water Polo program has grown significantly and have created a fun competitive atmosphere for all levels of athlete.
We
are committed to the development of athletes and teams, ranging from novice
to advanced. For elementary, middle school, or junior high check our Youth
Age Group program which is combined boys and girls, ranging in ages
7 to 14 years, and called Youth Water Polo. For students in high school, we offer SOLO Polo and High School
Polo, for high school boys and for high school girls.
SOLO Youth Polo travels to Southern California, San Diego and all over the Bay Area to compete in tournaments against other water polo clubs. We have both boys and girls 10&Under, 12&Under and 14&Under and our teams compete at the highest level. We encourage all 7 year and older boys and girls to come out and have fun learning the oldest Olympic team sport "Water Polo".
Our water polo coach is the Menlo Atherton High School boys Head Coach and has significant experience in training athletes. He is also the Assistant Coach for the Women's team at San Jose State University, and has coached many National teams throughout his career. Coach Bega has solid experience playing in college and internationally.
All youth age groups are for both boys and girls and all participants
must have a current USA Water Polo registration. To play in Fall league
competitions players must sign up by early September. Players may
join at a later date and practice with the team but will not be able to
play in competitions. Athlete participartion information on the Peninsula Bay Youth Water Polo Fall League 2009 go to News - Youth Water Polo. Coach/Team information and registration on the Peninsula Bay league go to News - Coach/Team.
